Looking for innovations! The registration for the biggest startup competition in Ukraine starts today, on May 2! For the fourth year in a row, Startup Competition will take place on September 27-29, 2019 at IT Arena. The application deadline is September 1.

Each year IT Arena gathers thousands of attendees, including investors, venture capitalists, representatives of accelerators and incubators, who are seeking fresh innovations from Ukrainian startups. Over the past few years, Ukraine was put on the map of the countries with the best technological potential, and recently Kyiv was placed on the 34th position among cities with the largest number of startups. Which can only mean one thing: the startup battle will only be more fierce in 2019.

If your startup is no older than two years, and you have a demo version of the product, don’t miss the opportunity to pitch your idea in front of several thousand of people from all over the world. The obligatory requirement to participate in the contest: if your startup already has investments involved, they must not exceed $100k.

Participating in IT Arena Startup Competition 2019 is your chance to pitch your idea in front of a diverse audience: attendees from the USA, Canada, France, Ukraine, and 20 other countries. Startup Competition is also a great opportunity to get noticed by local and international media (previously, the event was covered by TechCrunch, The Next Web, Start-up.ro, Tech.eu, etc.); meet industry leaders as well as ask tech experts for advice. Some of the startups that participated in the competition last year, have already shown remarkable achievements: for instance, a legal-tech startup AxDraft has attracted $1.1 million investments after participating in the Y Combinator acceleration program; and the team that developed interactive backpacks PIX has raised more than $300 thousand on Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

In 2018, the prize fund of the Startup Competition totaled $70,000. In addition, the winners have been awarded a trip to New York for Starta Ventures acceleration, a 12-month membership for Sputnik Space coworking, travel grants for the Silicon Valley trips, mentorship from Techstars Berlin and 1991 Open Data Incubator and many other gifts from partners.
