Maks studied at the Natural Sciences Faculty of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. After graduation, he interned in the university’s PR department but soon became interested in medical research. His IT career started with a DevOps position at Reface, where he later became the leader of the IT team and eventually Deputy CTO.
Maks started at Reface with very limited resources—the tech team had only two people, and their first launches were done on a single old server. Today, he leads a team of over 60 people (and at peak times, over 100), and Reface now has 8 apps with more than 300 million downloads and millions of daily users.
Maks is responsible for the entire tech department at Reface, managing the daily operations of the tech teams and ensuring they work efficiently together. While his main focus is on the tech teams, he also plays a key role in coordinating their work with other departments and implementing the company’s strategy.
