Stefan is a German entrepreneur and business angel, and CEO and partner of Gigahertz Ventures GmbH Dresden. Gigahertz Ventures focuses on hardware and deep-tech startups. Their investment portfolio includes future technologies such as laser, plasma and semiconductor. Stefan co-founded his first startup (still in existence) as a student almost thirty years ago and managed a political youth organization in Germany. Besides his entrepreneurial activities, Stefan pioneered innovation ecosystem development in Central Asia and Eastern Europe since the early 2000s, working with the UN and the World Bank. He also coordinated an international science network in climate tech (funded by the German Federal Government) and successfully managed an international business school (German accreditation) in a multi-ethnical conflict setting
