Taras was chairman of the IT Ukraine Association in 2011, 2016, and 2020. He has also been a member of the European Business Association (EBA) board since 2018.

Mr. Kytsmey is actively engaged in the Ukrainian IT community, and is a frequent speaker on panels related to the offshore software development industry in Ukraine. He is known as a visionary leader and advocate for high quality, accessible IT education in Ukraine, the implementation of innovative IT education programs, promotion of trust and win-win as a business model, and development of local and national business cultures. A recognized Ukrainian economist, Taras was awarded the Order of the Lion by the Lviv City Council in 2018 for his leadership role in developing the country’s IT industry.
