Maria Oz (Dukhovne Lychko)

Maria Ozirna is a Kyiv-based animation director, stop-motion artist, and illustrator recognized for her distinct visual style and boundary-pushing multimedia work. Known online as Dukhovne Lychko, she has built a career at the intersection of commercial design, cultural storytelling, and artistic experimentation.

Maria previously led the design department at Silpo and has directed and illustrated campaigns for global and local brands, including IKEA, Nivea, Mitsubishi, and Planeta Kino. Her work extends into music video production, including co-directing and animating “Koly zakinchatsya viyny” (When the Wars End) for Jamala and Freel.

Beyond commercial work, Maria is also known for her contributions to cultural preservation, notably collaborating with the Kherson Art Museum on the “Stolen Art” campaign to digitally recreate paintings looted by russian forces during the occupation — using art and technology to reclaim what was taken.
