Roman Zinchenko is a passionate ecosystem builder and a champion of green entrepreneurship. In 2009, together with his brother, he co-founded Greencubator, Ukraine’s leading platform for sustainable innovation and cleantech startups. For over 15 years, he has worked with founders developing technologies that are friendly to people, the planet, and the future economy.
As the project leader of Ukraine’s Climate Innovation Vouchers (funded by the EU and EBRD), Roman has supported more than 50 pioneering startups with €2.5 million in grants — from EV charging solutions (GO TO-U, TOKA, Ecofactor) and sustainable mobility (Delfast, Eleek, MereDot) to energy efficiency (Prana, Prengi) and new materials (ReLeaf, The Good Plastic Company, xBeam3D).
Beyond building ventures, Roman shares his expertise as a visiting lecturer at UCU Business School, a mentor for the Global Cleantech Innovation Program and ClimateLaunchpad, and a trainer at Greencubator.Academy. His policy contributions include co-authoring Ukraine’s National Energy & Climate Plan and the WinWin Innovation Strategy 2030.
Recognized with the Stanford Bright Award for Environmental Sustainability, as well as honors from Ukraine’s Air Force and Armed Forces, Roman continues to connect innovation, sustainability, and resilience at a time when they are needed most.
