Apply for IT Arena Startup Competition 2020
IT Arena is accepting applications from startups for the Startup Competition 2020. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Startup Competition pitches will be conducted online.
If you want to apply, please submit your application by September 14. On September 21, we’ll announce the most promising startups that will participate in the IT Arena 2020 pitch session. Although this year’s Startup Competition will be conducted remotely, it will be much the same as every year. We’ve done our best to ensure we can provide the same networking, advice, and financial reward.
Who are we looking for?
Startups that were founded no more than two years ago and are ready to present a demo version of the product are invited to participate in the Startup Competition. The amount of investments a startup received earlier must not exceed $100,000.
The Startup Competition participants have a chance to win a number of prizes, in particular:
$10,000 – the best startup
$6,000 – the runner-up
$5,000 – 2nd runner-up
The startups will also compete for the residence at SputnikSpace Coworking, free mentoring support, a grant for a trip to Europe and participation in the acceleration program. The total prize fund in 2020 equals $70,000.
We’ve been closely following the journeys of IT Arena Startup Competition finalists each year and we are happy about their success. Recently, the Startup Competition 2018 winner, Ukrainian e-commerce health tech startup Liki24, raised $5 million to expand internationally. With the new investment from Horizon Capital and its existing investors, the total funding raised to date accounts for an impressive $6 million. In 2018, Liki24 won the main Startup Competition prize – $10,000, a trip to the Starta Ventures accelerator in New York, and an annual membership at the SputnikSpace Coworking. In less than 3 years, Liki24 has connected 5,000+ pharmacies and completed over 500,000 orders.
Last year, 120 teams took part in the startup competition, with the winners receiving a total investment amount of $100,000. After earning the Best Startup 2019 title at Lviv IT Arena, Legal Nodes, a legal solutions provider for tech companies, maintained its steady growth. The startup has presented Ukraine at the Startup Grind Global Conference 2020 at Silicon Valley. It has also expanded its legal network to 110+ legal providers across 20+ different countries and has been featured at numerous tech events in Europe and Asia.
