Futureland Festival Headliner Announced
One of the most popular bands of the European electronic music scene Cassius will come to Lviv, Ukraine for the first time. The band will headline one of the biggest electronic music festivals – Futureland Festival, which will take place on September, 30, the second day of IT Arena 2017.
The electronic duo Cassius creates music with elements of house, techno, and rave. Philippe Zdar and Hubert BoomBass have been playing together since 1988. Since then have been on top of the European music charts with their hits The Sound of Violence, Toop Toop, I Love You So. The last Cassius album Ibifornia was released last year and the official video for The Missing, where a user can switch the characters, hasn’t left any media indifferent.
Among the band’s famous releases is a track named Go Up written in collaboration with the famous singer Cat Powers and American singer and producer Pharrell Williams. According to the music critics, in its music, Cassius combines French house, retro from the 60s, disco from the 70s and funk from the 80s. The band really knows how to make absolutely uncommercial music very popular. Cassius’ archive features remixes for famous artists from all over the world – Bjork, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode.
Cassius will play for the first time in Lviv at the Futureland Festival. Last year the world famous DJ Netsky headlined the festival with over 4400 visitors dancing all night to his beats. This year’s lineup will all include other bands from abroad and Ukraine. The festival will announce the names very soon.
Futureland Festival will take place within the biggest tech conference of Ukraine and Eastern Europe IT Arena in September. The price of the tickets starts from 270 UAH, but don’t forget that IT Arena ticket gives you access to visit the festival for free.
