Barry M. Katz

Barry Katz is Emeritus Professor of Industrial and Interaction Design at the California College of the Arts. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and as a Lecturer at the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation at the University of California, Berkeley.

As an IDEO Fellow, Barry spent more than 20 years working with the global design and innovation consultancy, helping organizations turn design into a driver of innovation. He continues to advise governments, companies, and academic institutions worldwide. His research and writing on design, technology, and innovation have been published in leading academic, professional, and popular journals.
