Ivan is the co-founder of Perfectial, a Ukrainian software engineering company acquired by Avenga in 2021. Following the acquisition, he joined Avenga’s leadership team as CTO and became directly involved in the company’s subsequent buy-side deals, gaining hands-on experience in identifying targets and executing integrations. This unique path has allowed him to see M&A from both perspectives: as a founder preparing his own company for sale, and later as part of a global acquirer.
M&A is not for every company. Just like oysters, the experience is different for everyone – some never acquire the taste, while others discover it’s a delicacy. Only a few truly know how to savor it.
At this edition of M&A Bar Talks, we’ll open the shell on what makes deals succeed – and why preparation is everything. Our speakers bring a full 360° perspective:
Volodymyr Pavlishevskyy, Senior Vice President of Group Finance at Avenga, who led the financial integration of acquisitions like Perfectial – and later prepared Avenga itself for its €400M exit to KKCG.
Ivan Kohut, co-founder of Perfectial, who went through the sell-side when his company was acquired by Avenga, and later joined Avenga’s buy-side acquisition team.
Together, they’ll share how M&A really feels on both sides of the table – selling, buying, integrating, and exiting. We’ll also introduce the M&A Acceleration Program by Lviv IT Cluster, designed to help founders prepare their companies so that when the opportunity comes, they’ll know exactly how to savor the deal from the very first try.
