Hugh Simpson

Hugh is a former Royal Australian Navy Maritime Warfare Officer who spent a decade on peacekeeping in the Pacific and operations in the Middle East. A resident of Ukraine since 2019, he has spent over 15 years in C-suite roles scaling PE-backed data, AI, and technology organizations across Europe, managing P&Ls of up to $160M with 1,300 people. Today, Hugh is the Managing Director and Co-founder of VitalSpec, a critical industry supply chain and defense tech partner, while continuing to back Ukrainian-made innovation through Oggin Holdings.
